In line with the directives of H.E. Prof. Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the Assistant Minister and Head of the Cultural Affairs and Missions Sector, aimed at advancing the internationalization of Egyptian higher education and expanding global academic partnerships, the Egyptian Cultural and Educational Bureau in Montreal, Canada, arranged a visit of a delegation from Carleton University to the Arab Republic of Egypt.
The delegation included Prof. Dr. Wisdom Tettey, President of Carleton University, and Prof. Dr. Rafik Goubran, Vice President (International and Research). The Bureau played a pivotal role in preparing and coordinating this visit, as well as organizing a series of high-level meetings, reflecting the significant efforts exerted in this regard.
These meetings were held at several Egyptian universities, including Cairo University, Ain Shams University, Alexandria University, and Badr University in Cairo, in addition to CIRA Education, to explore various avenues of academic cooperation. The meetings aimed to identify opportunities for joint academic and research programs and to enhance academic exchange, thereby supporting the directness of Egyptian universities to international education systems. This comes within the framework of the Egyptian government’s efforts to provide distinguished international academic opportunities for Egyptian students and to enhance the global competitiveness of Egypt’s higher education system.
في إطار توجيهات الأستاذ الدكتور/ عبد العزيز قنصوة وزير التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي، والأستاذ الدكتور مساعد الوزير ورئيس قطاع الشؤون الثقافية والبعثات، بشأن تعزيز تدويل التعليم العالي المصري وتوسيع نطاق الشراكات الأكاديمية الدولية، قام مكتب مصر للعلاقات الثقافية والتعليمية بمونتريال – كندا – بترتيب زيارة لوفد من جامعة كارلتون الكندية إلى جمهورية مصر العربية. وضم الوفد كلًا من الأستاذ الدكتور/ ويزدم تيتي، رئيس جامعة كارلتون، والأستاذ الدكتور/ رفيق جبران، نائب رئيس الجامعة للعلاقات الدولية والبحوث، حيث قام المكتب بدور محوري في الإعداد والتنسيق لهذه الزيارة، وتنظيم سلسلة من اللقاءات رفيعة المستوى، بما يعكس الجهود المكثفة التي بذلها في هذا الإطار
وقد عُقدت هذه اللقاءات داخل عدد من الجامعات المصرية، من بينها جامعة القاهرة، وجامعة عين شمس، وجامعة الإسكندرية، وجامعة بدر بالقاهرة، إلى جانب شركة سيرا للتعليم، وذلك لبحث مختلف أوجه التعاون الأكاديمي المشترك. وهدفت اللقاءات إلى استكشاف فرص إقامة برامج تعليمية وبحثية مشتركة، وتعزيز التبادل الأكاديمي، بما يسهم في دعم انفتاح الجامعات المصرية على النظم التعليمية الدولية. ويأتي ذلك في إطار جهود الدولة لفتح آفاق أكاديمية دولية متميزة أمام الطلاب المصريين، وتعزيز تنافسية منظومة التعليم العالي المصرية على المستوى العالمي
