As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen educational and cultural ties between the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Government of Quebec, Professor Dr. Ahmed Gaber, the Cultural Attaché and Head of the Egyptian Educational Mission in Canada, met with Mr. Jean Chiricota, International Affairs Advisor at the Ministry of Higher Education of the Government of Quebec. The meeting took place at the Government offices in Quebec City. Discussions focused on exploring avenues for academic collaboration and activating several key provisions of the agreement signed between the two sides, particularly regarding the expansion of scholarship opportunities and the promotion of student and academic exchange between Egyptian and Quebecois universities. The meeting was attended by: Ms. Charlie Martineau & Mr. François Saint-Laurent Ross, representatives of the Ministry of International Relations and La Francophonie of the Government of Quebec, highlighting Quebec’s strong interest in fostering cooperation with Egypt in the cultural and educational spheres. Both parties emphasized the importance of maintaining open academic dialogue and working together to overcome any obstacles that may hinder the implementation of the agreement, ensuring the achievement of mutual objectives.
في إطار تعزيز العلاقات التعليمية والثقافية بين جمهورية مصر العربية وحكومة كيبيك، اجتمع الأستاذ الدكتور/ أحمد جابر، الملحق الثقافي ومدير البعثة التعليمية بجمهورية مصر العربية في كندا، مع السيد/ جون شيريكوتا، مستشار الشؤون الدولية بوزارة التعليم العالي في حكومة كيبيك، وذلك بمقر الحكومة بمدينة كيبيك. تناول اللقاء مناقشة سبل التعاون الأكاديمي المشترك، وتفعيل عدد من بنود الاتفاقية الموقعة بين الجانبين، مع التركيز على زيادة عدد المنح الدراسية المتبادلة، وتعزيز فرص التبادل الطلابي والأكاديمي بين الجامعات المصرية ونظيراتها في كيبيك.حضر الاجتماع كل من: السيدة/ تشارلي مارتينو والسيد/ فرانسوا سانت لوران روس ممثلي وزارة العلاقات الدولية والفرانكوفونية بحكومة كيبيك، مما يعكس حرص حكومة كيبيك على تعميق التعاون مع مصر في المجالات الثقافية والتعليمية. وأكد الجانبان خلال اللقاء على أهمية دعم الحوار الأكاديمي المستمر، والعمل على إزالة أي معوقات قد تعرقل تنفيذ الاتفاقيات، بما يضمن تحقيق الأهداف المشتركة
