Under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the Head of the Scholarships and Cultural Representation Sector and on the occasion of celebrating World Arabic Language Day, Professor Dr. Ahmed Gaber, Cultural Counselor and Head of the Educational Mission in Canada, participated in the celebration organized by the Montreal International Arab Book Fair and the SPDI Organization, under the title “Our Beautiful Language.” The event included a variety of activities for children, such as a competition to form Arabic words from letters, reading and summarizing stories, as well as a seminar entitled “Challenges of the Arabic Language in Diaspora Countries,” in addition to a poetry evening featuring a number of poets.
In his speech, Dr. Gaber welcomed the attendees and thanked the organizers, stressing the importance of learning the Arabic language, which is not only a means of communication but also a bridge of identity and belonging to the homeland. He urged parents and migrant communities, especially first-generation immigrants, to ensure that their children and younger generations learn Arabic in order to preserve their identity, and traditions. At the conclusion of the celebration, the Cultural Counselor honored the participating children and the winners of the competitions and presented them with awards.
تحت رعاية الأستاذ الدكتور وزير التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي والأستاذ الدكتور رئيس قطاع البعثات والتمثيل الثقافي و في إطار الإحتفال باليوم العالمي للغة العربية، شارك الأستاذ الدكتور أحمد جابر، المستشار الثقافي ومدير البعثة التعليمية بكندا، في الاحتفالية التي نظمتها كلٌّ من معرض مونتريال الدولي للكتاب العربي وجمعية الاندماج وخدمة المهاجرين (SPDI) ، تحت عنوان “لغتنا الجميلة”. وتضمّنت الفعالية مجموعة من الأنشطة الهادفة للأطفال، من بينها مسابقة لتكوين كلمات عربية من الحروف، وقراءة القصص وتلخيصها، إلى جانب ندوة بعنوان “تحديات اللغة العربية في بلاد المهجر”، وكذلك أمسية شعرية شارك فيها عدد من الشعراء
وخلال كلمته، رحّب الدكتور جابر بالحضور، ووجّه الشكر للقائمين على التنظيم، مؤكدًا أهمية تعلّم اللغة العربية، التي لا تُعدّ مجرد وسيلة للتواصل، بل جسرًا للهوية والانتماء إلى الوطن الأم. كما حثّ أولياء الأمور والجاليات المهاجرة، خاصة الجيل الأول، على الحرص على تعليم أبنائهم والأجيال الجديدة اللغة العربية، حفاظًا على الهوية والعادات والتقاليد. وفي ختام الاحتفالية، قام السيد المستشار الثقافي بتكريم الأطفال المشاركين والفائزين في المسابقات، ووزّع عليهم الجوائز، في أجواء اتسمت بالفرح والاعتزاز باللغة العربية وتراثها
