The Egyptian Cultural and Educational Bureau in Montreal arranged a meeting for His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Sameh Abou El-Enein, Assistant of Foreign Minister for American Affairs, with a group of Egyptian scientists residing in Montreal on the sidelines of His Excellency’s visit to Montreal on April 10, 2025 at 4 pm at the Cultural Office. His Excellency Ambassador Sameh Abou El-Enein was accompanied by His Excellency Ambassador Ahmed Hafez, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Ottawa, Canada, and His Excellency Ambassador Nabil Mekki, Consul General of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Montreal. The accompanying delegation also included members of the Egyptian Embassy in Ottawa, members of the Consulate General in Montreal, a representative of the Ministry of Petroleum and a representative of the General Authority for Investment. The meeting began with a welcome speech from Dr. Ahmed Gaber, Cultural Attaché, as well as a brief speech on the role of Egyptian scientists in Canada in cooperation with the Cultural Office and what has been achieved together of agreements that have already been signed and what is underway. Then His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Sameh Abou El-Enein gave his speech, then Ambassador Ahmed Hafez spoke, then Ambassador Nabil Mekki spoke, then the open discussion began with Egyptian scientists and the most important topic that was highlighted was how to benefit from Egyptian scientists in Canada to improve the research and development climate in Egypt (R&D) through the exchange of experiences between Egyptian research institutions and their counterparts in Canada.
قام المكتب الثقافي والتعليمي المصري بمونتريال بترتيب عقد لقاء لسعادة السفير د / سامح أبو العينين مساعد وزير الخارجية للشئون الأمريكية مع مجموعة من العلماء المصريين المقيمين بمونتريال علي هامش زيارة سعادتة لمونتريال يوم 10 أبريل 2025 الساعة الرابعة عصرا بمقر المكتب الثقافي. وقد رافق سعادة السفير / سامح أبو العينين كلا من سعادة السفير / أحمد حافظ سفير جمهورية مصر العربية بأتاوا – كندا وسعادة السفير / نبيل مكي القنصل العام لجمهورية مصر العربية بمونتريال. كما شمل الوفد المرافق العديد من أعضاء السفارة المصرية بأتاوا وأعضاء القنصلية العامة بمونتريال وممثل لوزراة البترول وممثل للهيئة العامة للإستثمار. بدأ اللقاء بكلمة ترحيب من الدكتور / أحمد جابر الملحق الثقافي بالسادة الضيوف وكذلك كلمة مختصرة عن دور العلماء المصريين بكندا في التعاون مع المكتب الثقافي وما تم تحقيقة سويا من إتفاقيات تم توقيعها بالفعل وما هو جاري. ثم بعد ذلك ألقي السيد مساعد وزير الخارجية كلمته ثم بعد ذلك كلمه السفير / أحمد حافظ ثم كلمة السفير / نبيل مكي ثم بدأ الحوار المفتوح مع العلماء المصريين وكان أهم الموضوعات التي تم التركيز علها في معظم الحوار هو كيفية الإستفادة من العلماء المصريين بكندا لتحسين مناخ البحوث والتطوير بمصر (R & D) عن طريق تبادل الخبرات بين المؤسسات البحثية المصرية و نظيرتها بكندا
