As part of efforts to strengthen cultural cooperation between Egypt and Canada, Professor Dr. Ahmed Gaber, Cultural Attaché and Director, carried out an official visit to both the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec (Museum of Fine Arts) and the Musée de la civilisation (Museum of Civilization) in Quebec City. During the visits, Dr. Gaber met with: Ms. Anick Dorion, Director of Exhibitions and International Partnerships at the Museum of Fine Arts & Ms. Julie Lemieux, Director General of the Museum of Civilization. Each of the museum leaders accompanied Dr. Gaber on guided tours of their respective institutions, showcasing their collections, cultural initiatives, and educational outreach efforts.
Discussions focused on the possibility of hosting Egyptian cultural events within the museums in collaboration with the Egyptian Cultural Bureau in Canada. The proposal was met with great enthusiasm and support, and both sides agreed to begin practical steps to bring such initiatives to life. The meetings also touched on opportunities for collaboration between Egyptian and Canadian museums, including cultural exchanges, temporary exhibitions, and professional training in museology and heritage management. The Egyptian Cultural Bureau extends its sincere gratitude to Ms. Charlie Martineau and Mr. François Saint-Laurent Ross, representatives of the Ministry of International Relations and La Francophonie (MRIF) of the Government of Quebec, for their valuable efforts in organizing these meetings and visits, and for their continued support in fostering Egyptian-Quebecois cultural & educational ties.
في إطار تعزيز التعاون الثقافي بين جمهورية مصر العربية وكندا، قام الأستاذ الدكتور/ أحمد جابر، الملحق الثقافي ومدير البعثة التعليمية، بزيارة كل من متحف الفنون ومتحف الحضارة في مدينة كيبيك. وخلال الزيارة، التقى الدكتور جابر بكل من: السيدة/ أنيك دوريون، مديرة المعارض والتحالفات الدولية بمتحف الفنون و السيدة/ جولي ليميو، المديرة العامة لمتحف الحضارة وقد اصطحب كل من المسؤولتين الدكتور جابر في جولة داخل أروقة المتاحف، حيث تم استعراض مجموعات العرض وآليات العمل الثقافي والتعليمي بالمؤسستين
وتطرقت المناقشات إلى إمكانية تنظيم فعاليات ثقافية مصرية داخل هذه المتاحف، بالتنسيق مع المكتب الثقافي المصري في كندا، وهو المقترح الذي لاقى ترحيبًا كبيرًا من الجانبين، وتم الاتفاق على البدء في اتخاذ خطوات عملية لتحقيق ذلك في أقرب وقت ممكن. كما تناولت اللقاءات بحث سبل التعاون بين المتاحف المصرية ونظيراتها الكندية في مجالات التبادل الثقافي والمعارض المؤقتة والتدريب المتخصص. ويُعرب المكتب الثقافي المصري عن خالص الشكر والتقدير للسيدة/ تشارلي مارتينو، والسيد/ فرانسوا سانت لوران روس، ممثلي وزارة العلاقات الدولية والفرانكوفونية بحكومة كيبيك، لما بذلوه من جهود مخلصة في تنظيم هذه اللقاءات والزيارات ودعمهم المتواصل لمسيرة التعاون الثقافي والتعليمي بين الجانبين
